The brief overview

Godi began life in 2012 as OSTC Foreign Exchange (OSTCFX) to look after the execution of its parent company’s (OSTC Group) foreign exchange exposure.

In effect, we were created to counter existing market limitations: OSTC Group at the time was reliant on a combination of banks and brokers for all its risk management capabilities, but found the available products and support far less knowledgeable than what was available in-house.

This spirit of doing things differently, of doing them better, and setting a new standard for global financial engagements, has stayed with us ever since.

Today, armed with the appropriate regulatory status and established operational procedures (authorised by the FCA under the Payment Service Regulations 2009 No 588884), Godi is an externally focused organisation built around three core values:

Education

We believe an informed client is an empowered client, and look for every opportunity to educate people on the impact of currency movements on their profit margins – and how to implement effective risk management.

Service & expertise

It’s our mission to stand out from the crowd through the quality of our services. Many FX firms fail to deliver the insights needed by SMEs to effectively manage their FX exposure, yet for us such provision is vital for helping clients proactively manage their business.

Transparency

The third pillar of our core proposition is transparency, and offering our clients clarity into their products, fees, and costs. Indeed, to support this commitment we also offer clients the opportunity to audit Godi – to gain confirmation on the validity of our actions.

SECURITY & REGULATION

Client funds are completely secure and protected at all times.

We are authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Service Regulations 2009 for the provision of payment services. Our registration number is 588884. This means that client funds are always safe and secure.

  • Client funds are always safe and protected as they are entirely separate from our own bank accounts and assets.
  • When you enter into a transaction with us, we enter a matching irrevocable deal with our liquidity provider. Your funds are then kept in our segregated accounts until the payment is made to your beneficiary account.
  • Client funds are held in segregated bank accounts and cannot be claimed by creditors.

We are also registered with Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as a  Money Services Business.  Our registration number is 12691848. As a Money Services  Business, we abide by the 2007 Money Laundering Regulations and follow strict  compliance processes.
